Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, is the inability to get or keep an erection. Some men have complained of headaches, diarrhea, flushing of the skin, and prolonged erections after using the drug, but the vast majority of patients find the medication to be extremely tolerable. Tadalafil is considered by experts to be a relatively safe medication, but a few men, particularly those with underlying heart issues, are at higher risk for serious side effects such as chest pain and arrhythmia of the heart.
